The Garden Design Process

  • Consultation - An initial consultation is arranged to discuss your requirements, needs and desires for your property. This meeting will identify the issues you want addressed, how you would like your garden style expressed, formal or informal, traditional or modern and your approximate budget, allow approximately 1.5 hours for this .
  • Fee Proposal - Following our consultation a fee proposal is sent to you in letter form outlining our discussion and the proposed design. If you wish to proceed with my services you will be asked to sign the letter of acceptance.
  • Site Survey - On return to your property a full site analysis is undertaken, including appropriate measurements, levels and before photographs. An independent survey, employing a qualified surveyor, may be required.
  • Presentation Meeting - This allows me to present my design ideas as a concept plan so we can discuss and refine the design to a stage you are completely happy and satisfied.
  • Finished Plan - This is a detailed plan of the final design including working drawings and all relevant documentation which can then be given to Contractors for quoting.
